Όχι σε αυτή τη διεύθυνση

USPS mistakenly delivered two packages to our doorstep this morning. I just left them, figuring I’d worry about it later. Then, the USPS truck pulls up. For Sunday delivery, carriers don’t have to wear the uniform. So out pops a guy wearing a “Molon Labe” t-shirt.

And it’s funny, because I was just thinking the same thing.

  1. Hu’ta’ QISt! Hu’bejta’!

Hey, It’s still Sunday in California. Here’s hoping Yiayia has a sense of humor.

  2. Your understanding of Greek exceeds mine, trust me, so I will leave out completely irrelevant details and just be needlessly verbose,

My understanding of other languages is similarly limited, and I may have provided a joke rather than what I assumed it was. It would be a really small inside to that inside. I’m accidentally not competent enough to be in it? Yeah that works.

Every year, about this time, I came to wander about in someone’s backyard, front yard, ranch, or packed house of goofy people (myself not excluded), all encouraging me to eat, speaking Kristos Anesti!

Some years ago, on Easter, while thinking to myself “well shit, what is the response to that again?” I go to wikipedia. It’s Alithos Anesti, if that matters.

I find many many different translations for this Easter Paschal greeting there… and that it’s called that, apparently. So, of course I proceed almost immediately to send out in text to most everyone I know this greeting… In Klingon.
